Pocket change CAN make an impact
The idea of changing the world can be overwhelming. How can one individual possibly make a difference in a world of so many careless humans? Many people think I’m not rich so I cant donate enough to make a difference, or I am too busy to donate my time. We need to change our way of thinking! Small changes in life create great impacts in the big picture. Even more so, the “change” in your pockets when added together day in and day our can actually truly benefit the world.
This week I posted about a pretty awesome organization that is based on the same principles as Be Soft. Change The World Project breaks it down to a simple way for the average Jane to give back. Keep your pocket change in a jar and dedicate that jar to an organization, person, cause or whatever you care about in life. You would be surprised at how fast your jar fills up!
They then took their concept one step further by offering the perfect jar for purchase and donating their proceeds to a different cause each month. I have talked in the past about how powerful simply starting a conversation can be. Their Change The World Jars set you up to do just that. I dare someone to see this jar sitting on your counter and not comment on it. I personally just ordered mine and will have it sitting out with a note attached letting everyone in my life know where my change is headed.
Sometimes the best way to have a positive impact on the world is to inspire someone else to do good. Inspire someone to make a change. Just inspire someone in general. A little positivity and drive to want to help can go so far in life. Get out there and do your part and don’t forget to surround yourself with people who want the same.
Be Soft. Care More.
